Et Dukkehjem (A Doll’s House) is, quite simply, the most performed play in history. It is a three-act play in prose by Henrik Ibsen, which critically deals with the suffocating norms of a 19th century marriage. However, the themes go beyond marriage difficulties and are far more universal, namely how can each and every individual find out exactly who they are.
